Mai Ta (b. 1997) is an artist, currently based in Saigon, Vietnam. Her main practice is painting, using both gouache and oil painting. The paintings depict the intricacies of her inner world and the things that reside there. Inner wounds, secrets, memories,... all sublimated into her own symbols.

Mai seeks to find truth in her feelings and honor them through art. To her, art is where she can safely express herself without guilt. To her, artistic expression is a form of freedom.
