Highlighting mobility, interactivity, and locality, emphasizing learning through travel and community engagement, VAC LAUNCH 2024 will organize a new program called “Travel workshops”. Participating artists will gain firsthand experience on-site while exploring diverse environments, cultures, and means of production.

For each travel workshop, artists will engage with different landscapes, histories, and communities, meet with fellows of diverse backgrounds, and be exposed to varied approaches and cultural production. The program encourages artists to look beyond their studios, interact with new surroundings, navigate unfamiliar territories, and embrace the challenges and discoveries that come with them.

We are excited to announce that, for the first edition, our Travel Workshop will take place in Hong Kong during Art Basel Hong Kong 2024.
